We have had a good sized group of friends at the Naugas for the last few days. They all are about the same age, most having graduated from one particular Midwestern high school in 1981. Some of the graduates go out hiking the trails together, some ride horses together, others just sit around and talk about their old classmates and teachers from junior high and high school.

I learned that they all got together because one of them bought an old high school yearbook / annual online to help find the other classmates. The yearbook had lots of personal notes written, which helped to remember who was friends with who. I think that is a good use for high school annuals and yearbooks, ones that came out before Facebook became popular.

He said he combs flea markets looking for high school, college and university annuals, yearbooks, football programs, schedules and etc., and sells it on his website at yearbooks.ecrater.com

He said he enjoys looking at the photos and descriptions, and trying to find anyone who has since become famous. He notes that every famous person probably made a fool of herself / himself in high school, and for some that continued on into college.

He reads old high school / college / university yearbooks for fun, I read Popular Mechanics magazine. To each his own.
