We had an unusual visitor Friday night — a witch! Or Wiccan, as she prefered to say. She was on a road trip and drove up to the resort, and we had a room available so she stayed.
She said she is a good Wiccan. But, don’t all witches say they only do good witchcraft? Do any witches or warlocks admit to casting evil hexes and spells?
She said that her specialty is influencing the love lives of people. She makes love potions and casts magic spells to bring unmarried people together, to keep unhappy couples together and to restore love that has gone stale. And if all else has failed, she has a spell to heal a heartbreak. She claimed to have magick spells to increase true love and sexual desire, and to turn a straying spouse back to their marriage partner.
She was very forthright about her magic spells and Wicca-ness, and she looked a lot better than the witches of cartoons.
Maybe she was magic: The next morning she and her car disappeared around the bend in the road.
